Have you tried to take your sim out, and to check out Link? May be you have a friend/family member who has D1 who can borrow you his SIM card (for the detection), just put it in, check updates, turn wifi on and mobile connection off and install from WiFi...
My Problem, my Passport has lost the ability to get signal. My provider said Telekom does not support the device so "it is my problem"... risky... I suggest to backup and to have a possibility to downgrade if it messes up your mobile connection!
I intend to upgrate to .2280 using Sachesi at the end of the week!
    Cheers.

    Workhorse: BlackBerry|Q10, SQN100-3, OS 10.2.2.932; Power Workhorse: BlackBerry|Passport, SQW100-1, OS 10.3.1.2243; Germany.

Still nothing on the Z30 from Telus. But they keep saying their team is "hard at work" and the "target" a release "by next week".

    Not working on mine.
Mine also spun endlessly for like 30 minutes, I noticed it was slowing down time to time, I thought it finally found one, but nope, did not work.
I tried twice (removed SIM, held down up and down buttons) checked for update NOPE, then waited 5 minutes checked again, then one again right after, subsequent checs responsed pretty quickly, but 1st check took forever..
    So NO LUCK

Now, my LINK is telling me I have an update available, but funny thing is it is showing me the same version I am running 10.2.1.3062.
What do you think? Should I upgrade to this "non-upgrade" then check again?! Or just sachesi away??
When I checked without the SIM, the check spun and I switched over to Link, which did have 10.3.1.1581 available. Maybe your turn hasn't come up yet... Sachesi if you can't wait...

When will it be available on blackberry link?
It's available if it's your device's turn to update. You'll just have to keep checking every once and a while...

    I tried both.
Shut down, remove SIM, turn on, connect USB run Link, nothing.

Thanks... i will try that now... but BB has to really improve this process, why can't link just download the update which would allow me to download the update anywhere and install it anytime.
I've been a BB user for over 6 years but have also used an IOS device.

iOS can push updates because they have full control over carriers BlackBerry does not... and they've already improved the process by pushing the update to shopbblackberry devices which comes unlocked out of the box.

Hey guys! I have a Q10, which I bought off Amazon a year ago, and it's running on T-Mobile US. I finally got my 10.3.1 update OTA, and thought I'd share some tips/warnings about my results:

    1. The update takes a WHILE. It would not allow me to perform it over my 4G, it had to be over WiFi. I guess I'm just used to BlackBerry only giving me little updates that are done in 2 minutes. The update took just over 90 minutes.

    2. While it required about 2.5GB of free space, rest assure that when it's finally over the memory consumption will balance out. It's as if it first downloads the 2.5GB 10.3.1 software on top of your original software, then during the installation process it removes the old software and puts 10.3.1 in it's place. I'm sure the geeks are thinking "no duh Shirlock" to this but for me it was a pleasant surprise.

    3. MY CONTACTS WERE DELETED!! not sure why, but all my contacts stored on my phone vanished. Take necessary precaution when you update!

    4. The update reset *some* of my settings, such as my wallpaper. Anticipate having to go through your settings again having to change them back to your preference.

    5. It now limits the length of my contacts' names to 13 characters when he/she carries an accented letter, such as Polish "ł." By changing it to "l" it then accepted the same name length.

    6. The new calendar, in my opinion, is less sophisticated and simple-looking than the calendar of the previous OS. (see photo) BUT...

    7. I AM ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH 10.3.1, it's crisp, so much more functional, and much more refined.

    1. Mine took 2.5 hours through Link, and that's probably because Link first downloads the 1 GB update file, then needed to transfer it over to the device via USB 2.0, which isn't fast.

    2. BlackBerry has said it takes 2.5x the file size to OTA install.

    3. My contacts were not deleted. Good caution though.

    4. Setting were preserved where applicable and most of mine were fine. I didn't have to fix anything. Again, good caution on this one though.

    6. It's easy to tell where the appointments are stored (local, FB, Google, etc.) but difficult to see how busy your day is. Yeah, old system was better.

    7. True, true!

If you bought your phone from a carrier and there's carrier branding on the phone, you will probably have to wait for the carrier to approve it first, before you can get it.

If you bought your phone factory unlocked, from BlackBerry, Amazon, eBay, etc., and there's no carrier branding, you should be able to get it via OTA or BlackBerry Link, the desktop software. OTA will require that you take out the SIM and use wi-fi only to find the update. The update has a staggered release, so not everyone will get it right away, but you'll get it eventually. If you're on a carrier that's already pushed the update, then a factory unlocked device can also get the update right away. Note: a *factory* unlocked device is not a carrier-branded device that's been unlocked to work with other carriers! A factory unlocked device has never been locked in the first place.

Maybe that's related to the region of the world you're in? Or perhaps the device you have? I don't know the differences between the two Software Releases. You might have the latest for your region, device, etc. Maybe someone else can chime in...
