It was on the charger during the download and half of the install. It has since been put back on the charger for the last hour and a half. The LED still blinks twice and then 4 times, over and over. Is that a code?

I'd just connect it to Link at this point and try to do a backup if you haven't already done one prior to starting the update.

If you can't backup just do a Reload, you'll lose anything not on an SD card or not backed up but I think it's your only option.

During the Reload process you msy be asked to hold the power button down for 10 seconds but you'll actually have to hold it down more like 30-45 seconds.

With SIM, 10.2.1.x is the latest
Removed SIM and Software Update check just spins with no quick completion
Still SIM removed and plugged into Link
Check for Updates, 10.3.1.1581 (1 GB) available!
Reinserted SIM and Check for Updates, 10.3.1.1581 (1 GB) available!

It worked, it worked!!!!!
Ok so I have a bell unlocked z10 but living in Colombia on Movistar at the moment and it received the update a few days ago.
My unlocked shopblackberry Z30 on movistar, no luck as of yet.
.....until, I saw another post explaining as follows...... i shut down the phone, pulled the sim card, restarted, checked software update (twice, first check just spun endlessly) and BOOM there it was, downloading now!
Don't know if this is fool proof but sure worked for me, give it a try for all the shopblackberry unlocked z30's out there!!!!!

Four days after upgrading to 10.3.1 got my first 'flickering' - now know what everybody was going on about....

When trying to make a call from the Contacts application - the Contacts app minimised and the screen flashed and flickered.

Did a 'hard reset' (think that's the term) by holding down the power button for 1 minute.

Problem resolved! (I hope!!).

Thanks to all for posting the workaround.

SQN100-5 Q10 purchased through a BlackBerry friend's employee purchase plan, on Bell network. Checked last night and no updates. Checked now and see 10.3.1.1581. Did not do any sort of reboot, hard reset, etc.

If your devices aren't carrier locked, you might try give Link a try with your devices as is, then if that doesn't work, try again without the SIM. When I tried OTA, my Z30 said I had the latest, 10.2.1.x. When I removed the SIM, checking for updates just hung. On Link, it only took a moment before 10.3.1.1581 showed up.

I'm in the States and updated last night. Maybe the update hasn't trickled to Australia yet? Michael Clewley only said updates, at least for ShopBlackBerry devices (and unlocked too, most likely), only restarted yesterday and would be slowly deployed.

Hopefully that'll work for you. It might be a timing issue. BlackBerry was fixing the deployment issues for unlocked devices over the weekend and only yesterday said it had been fixed.

Not working on mine.
Mine also spun endlessly for like 30 minutes, I noticed it was slowing down time to time, I thought it finally found one, but nope, did not work.
I tried twice (removed SIM, held down up and down buttons) checked for update NOPE, then waited 5 minutes checked again, then one again right after, subsequent checs responsed pretty quickly, but 1st check took forever..
So NO LUCK

Now, my LINK is telling me I have an update available, but funny thing is it is showing me the same version I am running 10.2.1.3062.
What do you think? Should I upgrade to this "non-upgrade" then check again?! Or just sachesi away??
