Is the official 10.2.1 release likely to be 10.2.1.537?
I was thinking the official release would be something after the leak that's been batting around for a few weeks now but with no further leaks at the moment, if official will just be what I can already download I may as well just load the leak?
What do people think? Is the official likely to be just whats already been leaked?

First of all, remember that "10.2.1.537" is a "software release" version, not an OS version. You really should be discussing the OS version, which in this case is 10.2.1.1925.

That said, I think the number will be higher. .1925 was a beta release, and it was shipped with radio code with a mismatched version number.

I rather doubt that will become the public release for that and other reasons, including the fact that when someone did leak a version-matched copy of radio code, a lot of people had quality/reliability problems with it.

    Some people claim otherwise.

He can talk about the software release if he wants to, when were you appointed OS police chief?

I think he was merely trying to inform the OP that the actual OS isn't 10.2.1.537, but 10.2.1.1925 in case the OP was getting them all mixed up.

And s/he could talk about spotted dolphins too, if more interested in confusing people than learning anything useful.

"Software release" is something that often changes from carrier-to-carrier and is typically related to their specific bundle of OS/radio/apps, and is thus an abstraction when discussing OS versions.

This is why leaked OSs typically have NO software release version at all - there is no carrier associated with it so there is no "software release" version. And also why if you talk about software release versions, you prevent people from comparing to OSs like leaks and betas which do not have such a number.

My friend at BlackBerry just told me he's sure it will be "10.2.1.1930". He said .1925 WAS to be the external release but a last minute issue was found.

If this is true. Should make it easier for those on the latest leak to update. Plus there won't be any "I'm on the latest leak but want to load official, how?" threads.

You would have to downgrade to another OS version lower than 10.2.1.1925, then once you check for an update, you'll see the official 1925 available to install.

I have to agree I have trouble with active sync and learn to live with it, but if I installed this on coworkers phone they would complain all day to me. I hope that has been addressed

Plus the whole Android app thing... when you delete them, they often come back lol. They simply don't uninstall cleanly.

10.2.0.1803 came out a few weeks after 1791, perhaps 10.2.1.1925 will have another quick patch release (1940?)

Which might explain the second 1925 leak, although I still don't have a Software Release after a few days. However, 1930 would be a SDK OS.

And where exactly in the OP did he mistakenly refer to the OS version, as you describe?

And the SDK was already released, it is .1927.

I would be utterly astonished if the first public release of 10.2.1 was an earlier build than the SDK build. That would be completely nonsensical.

Thanks what you say makes complete sense, I guess I'll just hang on in there until the officail release which is surely imminent now. Cant be more than 2 or 3 weeks away one would hope. And if its not available from my carrier I'll do what I did last time try a few alternate sims, BlackBerry link...

Ps. Of couse ther will probably be a further leak ahead of the offical release just before hand to confuse our little minds but hey who'd complain.

On speaking to my carrier here in South Africa (Vodacom(Vodafone)) the reply was that it's scheduled to be available from the 27th of this month which is in line if a bit earlier than what's been said.

I am very surprised that Verizon seems to be pushing 10.2.1.1925, especially with the known exchange ActiveSync bugs
