It is rumored that NSO Group has Blackberry exploits that installs fully functional stealth rootkit as well.

It is no surprise for me that QNX platform security turns out to be overrated, is it for you?

Most of these groups give the company a set time to respond to the issue before they go public and publish the vulnerability.

You need to read about what the NSO Group does. They don't report to vendors.

How much money are you offering them to do it? Because if it's anything less than $1,000,000, they probably don't care.

That sounds like too much of a pain for software they have available. How about they make a link available for me to go to? If this is not feasible for less than $1mil US, then should Joe average user not care in the same way they do not care about how and why Blackberry might be able to get user data as well?

Good question. And two good reasons to switch to iPhone.
Hint: you *never* could be safe if such a capability does exist. And you *never* know who actually could access it and when.

(And yes, I know some of those things for a first hand experience. I was the person who was never supposed to know about some tech, and it took some military unit to operate it, yet I had it available. Life was fun in 90's.)

Because of the ubiquity of the iPhone it is a much sweeter target. Every Black Hat will be probing it and they are bound to find more exploits. The BB10 OS is more obscure so there is less opportunity to profit from the hacks. Hence less likelihood of exploits being found. Security through obscurity.
