    Hi guys.
I did the 10.2 update last night for my Q10 and have noticed that I don't have the lock screen notifications. I have it turned on so don't understand what's wrong.
    Anybody else having problems?
    Cheers

I too updated my Q10 and am having the exact same issue. All of the settings are correct... but when I slide up to unlock...it skips the lock screen. Solution?

There's 3 places where you may have them turned off

A buddy and I both upgraded last night and originally could not get BBM toasts to work. Then after combing through CB, and some good old trial and error, we figured it out.

Here are all the 3 things you should check.
    1. Hub Notifications
    - Go to "Settings" menu - then "Notifications" - then scroll down to "Visual" section and toggle "Instant Previews" to ON.
(The same menu can be accessed by going to Hub, click right 3 dots to access "Settings" - then "Display and Actions" - then scroll down and select "Instant Preview Settings")

    2. Application Notifications
    - While in the same menu I mentioned in 1, scroll a little further down to the "Applications" section where you see phone, email, BBM, etc. Click on BBM and ensure that the "Instant Preview" option is also toggled to ON here (I would suggest switching off and then back to on again while you are already here).

    3. BBM App
    - Finally, exit out of the above menu and go to the BBM app (Not the Hub BBM, but the BBM app). For those going to the app for the first time, you will probably see a message from BB regarding previews with a button titled "Manage Contacts". Here is where things will differ depending on how you responded to this message.
    - My buddy closed the message without hitting the "Manage Contacts" button, exited out of the BBM app, and his toasts started working.
    - I had clicked on "Manage Contacts" and selected all the contacts I wanted previews from, exited out of the app, but still nothing.
    - I had to open up the BBM app again - select "Contacts" at the bottom - then long press one of my BBM contacts - and selected "View BBM Profile" (1st option that appears on the right bar). While in the BBM contact screen, there should be 3 tabs at the top with the leftmost tab being "Details". Select this and you should see a "Chat Previews" on/off toggle for that contact. I went through each one of my contacts and toggled this switch off and on (Tedious, I know, but I'm assuming this was designed so you can individually choose who to get toasts from instead of everyone). Then exited out of the app and things worked. Once this had been set, long pressing a contact now should give you a new menu option on the right bar which is "Hide Chat Previews" instead of having to do the part I mentioned above.

I would suggest checking all 3 of these areas to ensure that the toggles are all set to on. Even if they are in the ON position, switch it off and on again just to be sure.

Some combination of the above should hopefully solve the problem. If not, then good luck because that is all I got.

    Hope this helps.

I had the same problem on my Z10, but after checking the settings noticed that the time delay I had previously set to lock the phone was changed by the upgrade from my previous setting of 5 minutes to 30 minutes. I reset it back and it started to work properly again. So, you may want to check your lock delay settings to see if it is set correctly.

Me too... have read and clicked and tapped and swiped but can't seem to figure it out. When I swipe up to unlock the screen, I see what I guess is supposed to be the lock screen notification screen for a split second, then the regular screen I have always seen when I unlock.

    Ideas?

Have you turned it on? You have to go to settings, then display and there is an option in there to turn on the lock screen notifications.

Sorry should have read your OP more closely.

It took me a while to figure it out but you have to click on the notification on the lock screen to preview it. It doesn't just appear. Dont know if you tried it but if you didn't i hope it helps!

It will briefly appear when a new message comes in. Enough for you to pull it out of your pocket or glance at it to see. After that it hides. You have to tap the notification icon to view it

I think I figured out what was happening... It's not an "issue" with the device or OS. It seems to be an incorrect understanding on my part of what the "lock screen" really is. I was thinking it was the screen you get when you click the power button (i.e. a black screen, with nothing on it). I thought the new features (i.e. lock screen notifications) would appear on that (black) screen.

For me, due to how I had my settings configured in the Settings>Display>Lock Screen area, I was never really ever seeing what the actual "lock screen" is. I was set to:

    Allow Gestures When Locked: ON
Allow Power/Lock Key to Unlock Device: ON

So, the result of this combination is that when the screen is locked, if you hit the power button OR swipe up, you are UNlocking the screen... and are taken immediately into the desktop/OS bypassing the actual "lock screen".

What I have done now is this:

    Allow Gestures When Locked: ON
Allow Power/Lock Key to Unlock Device: OFF

Now when the screen is locked, the behavior is as follows:

Swipe Up - Phone is unlocked and ready for immediate action
Hit Power Button - Lock Screen appears (swipe up if you need to actually unlock the screen)

    I hope this helps others....

This is exactly what mine is doing. I had already tried everything that was suggested. Other Z10 and Z30's stay on the 'Lock Screen Notifications' when you slide up. Since the update, mine has stopped working.

Get to the lock screen however you need to and touch ANY notification

    I've noticed another problem.
When you finish making a call and go to end the call, the screen stays black unlike before when you pulled the phone away from your ear and the screen lit up for you to end the call!

I've got mine working again. I went back to the Blackberry Protect website and used it to display a message to my lock screen. Once I did that, the lock screen notifications returned. I turned off the password and it's still working.

    Hope this helps,
