Hi,
The little icon in the top right never appears unless I'm on wifi. It means I can't BBM my kid when I'm out on the road or anywhere there's no wifi. I did have to mess with APN Settings to fix a group message issue.
I live in Ireland and it's a GSM phone on Tesco Mobile. Picture attached.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Do you have any mobile data on your plan? If so, call up your provider and ask them to reset your sim. Reboot the phone after an hour and see if it works then. This is likely not an issue with the hardware

Tesco Ireland may be one of the carriers that is still requiring BlackBerry specific plans for BB10 devices. You may want to ask about that when you are talking to them.

Thanks for the replies.
Yes from what I've read it seems they may be blocking BB services like Blackberry.net and others. Despite me having a 1GB data plan they just blanket block it. Sucks but there you go. I'll be changing provider soon. The joys of Prepay!
For what it's work I've read that Three are fine and I have a Meteor SIM so I'll test that as soon as I can.
