    Just saw this:

Were already working on the follow-up update, BlackBerry 10.3.3 and will keep you posted over the coming months.
BlackBerry 10.3.2 Available NOW in US for All BlackBerry 10 Devices | Inside BlackBerry

So, if the slider is BB10, it may well be 10.3.3

This means that BB10 is now officially at a dead end. 10.3.3 will be an update just to support the slider hardware. There will be no update to Qt5, no new features in Cascades. BB10 will continue in it's current form, but it will not be updated other than to fix bugs or support new hardware.

10.3.3 is BB10 with the Android runtime removed.

This is necessary for OHA certification of furture BlackBerry Android devices.

Where are people getting these remove Android runtime support ideas from???
They openly advertise Android Apps, BB World has Android Apps, they have an agreement with Amazon and it's heavily integrated with the OS... don't be daft.

The point is that, if BB is going into an alliance with Google, under the umbrella of OHA, they'll have no choice than to remove the runtime from BB10 OS.

Still 10 please go to number 11 with some new apps and icons and then move to 12, Just do it like Apple and show you have something new. People allready saying "you still stuck on OS 10" or "OS 10 is allready 2 years old and ios has OS 9"

BlackBerry OS 10.2.1 was grown up and 10.3.2 is best in class compare with other OS but next must be 11 to show BlackBery is move on .

If BlackBerry decided to sell android os, BlackBerry must remove the runtime

Then they would loose half their customers if they did that, it would be a suicidal decision

I'm not sure it will happen in 10.3.3, but I could imagine 10.4 using BB10 as the host OS and full Android with Google Services as the Guest OS through a hypervisor-style virtual machine. It would take some effort to get integration as tight as the current emulator/runtime, but I think it's doable. I'm guessing 10.3.3 will be more BES integration and boring enterprise stuff. Hope I'm wrong.
