Hi all,
New classic owner here. I am slowly learning the ins and outs of the OS and the hardware. I have a question regarding one small icon next to the WiFi signal icon and it's meaning. The icon seems to be a phone with a red label or warning.
I have searched online but cannot really locate a clear explanation. Can someone experienced in BB10 please explain what this icon is indicating. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi could be emergency calls only I get a handset symbol with a red exclamation mark. Hope that helps

Hi and thanks for the quick responses. Hopefully the screenshot image is clear enough. I only inserted the SIM card today after a few days of setting up the phone. The SIM seems to work well and I have tested it with calls and text messages. I have selected the option of 4G, 3G & 2G.
The phone was new when purchased but the paperwork in the box was minimal. My eyes are not as good as they once were but this icon appears to be a phone with a red alert sitting on top.

Problem is solved. Removed the SIM and reset the phone. Now indicating normally and connecting to 4G lite via the automatic connection. Thanks again for the assistance
AFAIK this icon is WiFi calling!
Some operators seems to still offer it for BB10

If that symbol comes up again, the only way to disable it is to use this app:
