I frigging love the squircle..in fact haven't updated to latest leak because it is just so awesome. There's only one other status indicator I liked and that was the Silver oscillating BlackBerry symbol on the PlayBook android player when it first came out. Was a nice one. But now that I've had the squircle it's my fav

Hey, I think you may just be onto the next generation of the squircle!

The squircle waiting room is working, we are getting wonderful, amazing ideas for our Squircle.

The knowledge of the squircle is a matter of epistemology.

Point to the documentation that states definitively what the term native means.
You need to read.. What I said has nothing to do whatsoever with what you are bringing up. I'm simply saying that in HTML5/WebWorks apps, you need to include your own Activity Indicator, while in Cascades Apps, it uses the systems Activity Indicator. Reasoning as to why the browser has a different Activity Indicator than the rest of the OS. You seem to be trying to pick a fight with people for absolutely no reason, hence how what you said has nothing to do with what I was telling that person.. End of discussion.

I read everything. I understand everything.

You a accused me of not wanting dissent or various points of view in this thread as evident in the following excerpt from your earlier post:

"All you guys want to hear is "I want the old loader back", no constructive criticism or opinions. Therefore, this is a pointless thread."

You sir were the instigator of our exchange here.

    Nuff said.

Never got to see the thing in action, having jumped from 10.1 to 10.2.0.1323. Can say one thing, the blue circle I started with is superior to the thin, black one I've been left.

Here, it looks kind of plain, but it looks nice across the OS when it's moving. Minimal, but looks nice.

Nice is a subjective term and can not be quantitatively shown
with systematic empirical investigation or social phenomena via statistical, mathematical or computational techniques.

In other words I don't have your boring, ugly, common, plan thing looks nice.

Sign me up... at least BB can make the conventional wait circle the default and give people a setting to change it to squircle... and the same goes to the bar at the bottom of an android runtime, leave it on by default and give people option to turn it off.

Yeah I thought it would be nice to reference the running apps screen in the boot loader, kind of like how the old Wii references it's channels. And the progress bar and percentage is useful, so I thought it would be nice to bring that back.

I think the squircle is pretty much dead.

According to documentation, the new grey circle spinner is the new activity indicator.

    https://developer.blackberry.com/des...omponents.html

Not that changes can't be made or that it won't show up in future updates, but at least for 10.2 that is going to be released next month, it's not going to appear.

i think they removed it because they are trying to make the android player appear seemless. They add a back button no one can remove, they remove the squircle because it would not appear in android. This appeasement thing is starting to make me mad. They are going for mass appeal thinking these little changes will make the difference.

    I want my SQuircle back!!!
