I have a friend with an iPhone 4 and she wants to upgrade to a new Android or Windows Phone. However, if she can get Tumblr on her Z10 from an Android store, she would consider a BlackBerry instead. If she doesn't like the BlackBerry and wants to return it, but has a leak installed on her phone (10.2.1), will that void her return policy (or if she keeps the phone and it breaks, will it void a warranty)?

I don't see how they can regulate what OS you're using as long as when you go to return it you wipe the phone.

I'm also considering updating my Q10 to a 10.2.1 leak (I want the Starbucks app and Snapchat) and since we're both on AT&T, I know that it will take ages for them to release an update.

P.S., if anyone can tell me if Tumblr does in fact work with 10.2.1, that would be great!

The beauty of leaks is that you can always just revert back to the official OS release whenever you want. With Android, rooting a phone technically voids your warranty, but most phones can be unrooted anyway (BlackBerry 10 phones do not require root status).
Additionally, I can confirm that Tumblr does in fact work on 10.2.1, although it's not as smooth as other apps.

I just sold my Z10 to a trade in service and had forgotten that I had 10.2.1 on it. My final price was unaffected by the leak being loaded.
