Inspired by this thread PlayBook OS better at multitasking than BB10? - BlackBerry Forums at CrackBerry.com , I just came up with the following idea:
Customizable gesture shortcuts from any screen to access a specific app.
For example, B for browser, C for calendar and so on. This would flow with the current method of accessing the HUB without messing up with swipes up/down.

    What do you guys think?

Interesting idea. I find the gestures very easy though.

There was an app that could accomplish this in BlackBerry World (not sure what it was called again), but the only downside was that you had to open the app to perform the gesture everytime

Good idea to make built-in tho!

That'd be true BlackBerry convenience! Would it be the first in the smartphone world? Seems like you could even make up your own shapes to achieve this... very cool idea!

The app is called "Gestures" by ScrApps. It works really well but it requires you to perform the within the app which is kind of a drag. Would be really useful if I still had a convenience key.

Check this one instead... it's free and you can initiate the interface with the play/pause key as long as it's an active tile.

Check out Sweep in BlackBerry World! You can find it at http://appworld.blackberry.com/webst...ntent/24609872
