So now when you're composing a text, the back arrow and send button and now present when the keyboard is up. This wasn't the case before and I don't like it, I can swipe back if I need to so it's a waste of screen real estate for me.

    Any way to remove this?

Check out Michael Clewley's channel. He explained with this was done. It's for simplifying the experience for past BBOS users so that in other compose screens, like emails, this bar also brings up the attach button (it's no longer hidden behind the keyboard). People were getting confused and didn't like having to hide the keyboard to access these other buttons. I understand that text messages don't have as many "add-ons" like attachments, etc, but this new update is likely going to be for all compose screens in the future to create a unified experience.

    Noooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Ah well thanks for the info. Hopefully there will be a "hide" feature. Imo it's still a poor use of screen real estate, I'm glad most chats are bbm and I don't have to put up with this! Lol

Agreed. I don't like it and it takes up too much of my screen.

I want them to add the bar without using any space OK maybe not then, if I had to take the change or leave it, I'd take it. I didn't like having to drop the keyboard for the other buttons.

Count me the group that likes the change. Don't need much screen for texts. Was silly the attachment icon was hidden behind the keyboard before.

    Good change.

Having it in e-mails is excellent.
    For texts, it's really unnecessary.
But not having it in BBM is just bizarre. What are they thinking? The one thing I attach or share the most is photos via BBM. This takes far too many taps/swipes currently.

It's a good idea, it just needs to be implemented more thoughtfully.

Speaking of which, I discovered yet another bug tonight while trying to share a photo with a BBM group. I tried to post it without a caption, and got an error. OK. But then I put the caption in - and it wouldn't let me post it no matter what I did. The error kept coming up. Even after I cancelled, went back out, went back in, and tried again. Bug.

Hate text messaging with 10.2.1., I think blackberry thinking no one using SMS anymore and they don't care at all that's why it is awefull. Wake up blackberry some people still use it.

Not even can handle longer SMS messages, they arrive in pieces often minutes later! NO its not my carrier or service provider

What I can't figure out is why they would take the one, solitary thing I actually LIKE about my BB and remove it. The day I was able to turn off "Enter key to send" and the SEND button moved to the top right of my screen was the first day I started to like the phone. Now some ***** programmer at BB decided it would be better above the U key which stills allows for accidental sending of a message.

Good thing they fixed the one thing that worked. Morons.

I'm going to give credit where credit is due...

FINALLY - music and pictures app opens to the last setting, meaning that it doesn't default to Recent every time. Kudos to whichever genius finally got that straight. Much better.
