As with any BB the Z10 has lots of good tweaks under the surface!

One of my favorite features on my 9800. I am glad they put into BB10 for Z10 too.

Been there since I bought mine from T-Mo. You can even adjust from 2G to 4G and etc... This is very useful if you are in a bad reception area and wanted to improve battery life.

Well this is weird because I am on At&t and we've never had this option. Even more weird because that option disappeared now, but shows up every once in awhile.. wish it were a permanent option.

AT&T usually blocks Auto vs Manual as well as the equally important and useful network technology selection on all devices. Verizon does as well.

I wouldn't take either of their two services free because of this.

Thanks T-Mobile for bot neutering my device.

Yeah so I'm just confused because now it doesn't let me select which one I want to use...There has to be a way around this to sect manually what network I want to use. If only more ppl could read this and help

If it is blocked by your provider then you won't be able to change the settings without getting the phone unlocked

I wonder what skin it is off of their azz if someone wants to use the slower tech. Carriers have way too much say on stuff.

Sounds like a glitch mate, sorry to say. You are not supposed to be able to change those on AT&T.

And unlocking doesn't help you. As soon as you out an AT&T SIM the settings go away. I've tried it on my unlocked 9860. Put the T-Mobile SIM back and the settings come back.

    +1

T-Mobile used to just block the 3G/4G only option which is slightly more acceptable in my book but now they've gone totally lib and allow all options.

ATT however blocks em all as does Verizon.

Verizon: Can you hear now? Good, you're our b**ch now.

You can get your network selection mode back with AT&T and Verizon but you have to use the escreen:// in the browser. I just switched back to AT&T after being on T-mobile for 2 years and forgot you had to use the escreen to change your network settings.

I think it's up to the network to enable it, as I'm on MTN and I've always had this option.

    Why Blackberry? Because I can!

The network slect should be idependent and can free to be slect. I see it is weird that you change the sim card and the network options also are different
