Omg, its a spam app! No software can determine health of the hardware unit. There is a godzilion apps that claim that can increase battery life or cure battery when has bad sectors.

You don't have bad battery, its normal to get 9 hours of usage, for god sake, just switch to GSM/2G network mode and you'll see that you can get extra hour or two. 3g or hspda is real killer, cause it constantly searching for signal and let you use both network and internet at the same time (just make phone call on gsm network and you will see that you dont have data connection at that moment) .

So, turn of 3g/hspda, and use wifi for fast browsing

As you can see my usage from 7am. And I had 23 phone calls, till now, and over 40 emails. Everything affects battery.

My device is Q10, latest os, as you can see, even android ecosystem is on it.

Well in my whole life only my nokia E7 would give me 2 days of usage. For those guys that said they had 2 days of usage on their phone, guess they don't use it much. I mean you lose 20% in stand by for those two days so...

I'm telling you, your battery is great, 8 hours of usage with Twitter, is perfect.

Do not replace your battery but rather buy a syncpod with extra battery charger (those where you just put battery) and extra battery. So you get two batteries charging at the same time, and when you go out and run out of juice, just put another battery in. And that's it

Like I said: 3G and 4G don't consume more for everyone, for me it's the same as on WiFi. Both on this Passport (4G) as well as on my good ol' Motorola Razr V6 Maxx (3G).
Also: BBVE also indicates the battery health. So you're saying that BlackBerry made a spam app as well?

As Q10 battery is cheap, I'd buy new one and check again. On the other hand, battery health over 90% is OK... Some Android apps in background?

AMOLED screen devices have that (Z30 and Q10).

I believe screen display is culprit

I'm saying this from the stats of app manager. Display is set to 0 and timeout is set to 10 second. I can still see that it is consuming most of the juice

8-9 hours is OK actually. Of course around 14 is acceptable. My suggestion is to disable Amazon by using device monitor and BlackBerry assistant switched to voice dial only, meaning no full assistant. U can install device suite to check out the battery circle. It will start to wear out after 500 circles.

Where did you get. 2888 firmware version if the latest q10 is under that number?

I think if you are using your phone heavily on browsing over wi-fi and other things, 9-10 hours is pretty acceptable.

Remember you don't have a 3000+ mah battery!

If you haven't done it already I would wipe the phone doing the security wipe. Don't back up from a previous backup in link. Load everything from scratch and see how it goes

Assuming you've opened the app before, close the Amazon process from the CPU tab of Device monitor if it appears there.

    Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwww

My battery life was somehow improved

I have unplugged charger at 8:20 AM IST today and now 2:23 PM IST. It means 6 hours so far. I have regularly used phone. I have 65% battery remaining . It means only 35% was consumed in last 6 hours. It was over 60% before. I'm on 3g as always

This is what all I tried, not sure which one worked

    1. I went to android settings->apps->all and disabled whatever I can(can disable almost 90% of the apps).
    2. In android settings, I have enabled developer settings. And then I have enabled 'Dont keep activities' and running processes to 'No processes'. I know it will impact android apps but I dont bother as I dont use android apps
    3. Using Playbook App Manager, I have uninstalled amazon (both store and app), help, tutorials, language packs(these occupy most of the space) and many others.
    4. Since last 3 days, I'm only charging my phone after switching it off. And I'm only charging when battery went below 10%

Finally, Im happy Problem was solved

    Thanks for all your help
