    Hi All,

I'm sorry to post new thread. There are too many threads in this forum for battery drain issues. Nothing seems to be working fine for me. It only lasts for 8 to 9 hours with moderate use

I'm using Q10 phone with 2888 build. Installed run time update.

Currently my phone is set up as below

    1. Disabled location service
    2. Disabled NFC
    3. Disabled wifi
    4. Disabled bluetooth
    5. Set screen brightness to 0
    6. Set screen timeout to 10 secs
    7. Disabled all the gestures including swipe to wake up
    8. Disabled send diagnostics option
    9. Have only one android app i.e. tapatalk
    10. Set up one gmail account with manual sync
    11. Set up facebook, twitter, linkedin accounts and disabled notifications
    12. I dont see any abrupt down in battery percent like others
    13. Always on 3g with data services enabled

    Questions:

    1. What is wrong with my phone?
    2. Is there any issue with battery? How can ensure there is battery issue before I purchase new one. I dont want to unnecessarily waste my money
    3. I have bad charging practices. I charge whenever I want with laptop using usb cable. Is it something to do with battery issue. If so, how can I restore the battery condition. calibration?

My humble request to all of you to help me to get out of this problem. I love my q10 but this is annoying me. I'm most frustrated person now. I;m still using this though I have redmi note 3 android phone because I love this piece

Your help will be very much appreciated. I want to use q10 for whole day with single charge

In android, there is an app called auto 3G. This will disable data services when screen is locked. This app would significantly improve battery life. I could not find such an app on bb10, unfortunately

What does the Device Manager say? What are the three top most apps in power consumption? I guess it's #11 What's the Twitter update frequency?

You can still disable automatic updates. Sure there are no updates at the moment. But I'm sure the device checks this at least once every day.

BTW: wifi can save you a lot of accu power because communication with a wifi router needs much less energy than communication with the next cell antenna in your area. If you have a wifi around you can use you should do it in every case.

I'm on 4G all the time for a while now since I got way more data to spend now and I don't notice any battery draining on my Passport. I charge it overnight and use it from about 6 AM till about 0:30 AM and I still got somewhere b/w 20-50% left around 0:30 AM. I use it most of the day b/w the hours I've mentioned.
So no, 4G doesn't drain battery.

So that's like 10% and hour right? So that's 9-10 hours of usage, that's pretty nice, your q10 is in better shape than mine.
