We've shared phrases like "Locked Runtime" and "Unlocked Runtime", it's polluted the web and on every forum that mentions a Blackberry. That being said, what the H#77 do we call this latest Runtime??? It's gone waaaaay beyond unlocked. Come up with a new phrase for the current incarnation of the Android runtime. Maybe the CB staff can run a front page poll?

Here's mine:

Open Runtime.

My reasoning is based on the fact that we've been given the key to the apk house.

The runtime is not unlocked per se, for some apps you still need the debug token method to work ie: teamviewer so I think the terms "open" or "unlocked" are not well fitted

Just throwing it out there

Team viewer works fine for me... no Debug Token. Simply installed it right from... actually I don't remember which one now. I have too many app "stores" installed.

MoboMarket
Amazon App store
Good E Reader

Whichever the first one I tried it from worked, so I haven't tested all of them for it.

Why so many stores? To see which ones work best, I like options. It Rony is I only use like 6 apps (no games).

The app store it works from is mobo market. That is the one I use. No debug, just install and go.

Teamviewer, many apps can't files on the SD card, or can't write to it for that matter, podcast apps pic apps any type if app.

There is many apps MX Player as an example works better if you side load it with a debug token and the list goes on
