Just my opinion but it seems simple to me...
Alot of people love the hub, alot of people including me hate it and find it confusing and find it uses an extra step for me to do anything as far as email. And dont even get me started on the twitter messaging confusion of weather im in the app or the hub and then swipe up to find im already in the hub so I need to swipe to the right to get out.
Simple solution. Add email icons and the ability to turn hub off. So it works like a playbook. The swipe up to homescreen is genius. And I like the open apps even as homescreen or have the option to choose open apps or first page of icons as your homescreen
Then all the people that are now going to bash me saying the hub is the best thing since the wheel will be happy and everyone else who loves and wants to support blackberry can enjoy the amazing hardware without the frustration. I own a cell phone repair company in waterloo ontario and I know if they could add these few things and maybe a couple other tweaks here and there they would have alot more happy customers.
Just an opinion. Dont bash me too hard for it

Dude, dump that crappy torch application. Get one called Torch Flash that doesn't have all the useless gimmicks and actually has features that you will use. It's by QTHelex.

Why not make it simple for the people that want fast and simple and havr hub features for who wants them. Hub icon still means I have to swipe up hit icon and if I was in my txts swipe over to get to my email.

Or an even simpler solution make it so when you swipe up and over it takes you to hub list. Not to the last thing you used in the hub

I don't think your feelings were really offended, but now I think you know what I mean when I said that.

So if you have 5 email accounts, you have 5 email icons? that would be way more steps than required. One of the many reasons I stayed away from iOS is that I had to navigate between sent, inbox and other folders as opposed to a central messaging platform. Its all personal preference, IMHO and I like it just the way it is (the Hub) and if the Hub doesn't work for you, maybe consider a different platform?

I disagree with this, and whatever I say is pure opinion based like you.

To me the hub is still the unified inbox bbos had, just more enhanced.

If they had a icon for every account, say I happen to have a app open and need to get to one of those accounts I could a) swipe up to the hub and navigate to my account using the menu. Or b) close the app swipe to the left once, possibly 2 or 3 times depending where they keep there account, and then press the said icon.

I used to miss them bit now I feel having icons for each account doesn't really seem logical when you have a unified inbox.

There are icons for every account. Open the Hub, then open the left menu. Do you see all those icons?

He clearly meant icons on the app grid.

I know these are all opinions but I LOVE the hub. No memorization (even though I know it would become muscle memory) of where the icons for different accounts are on the home screen - a single gesture from wherever you are gets you to everything. And I like how the hub stays where you leave it - excellent for cross-referencing while typing out an email, or bbm or something.

That said, I am always a fan of more options rather than fewer so that as many peoples' tastes as possible can be accommodated. But - what's the order of priority of adding these? I think there is a significant number of things higher on the list than this.

I got used to the hub and I am not a great fan but it works well and is logical but learning came with getting used to a touchscreen but I am happy enough with it , I did like little icons for each account as on my android backup phone and old BB but that is probably because I was used to them/
The reason my backup phone is Android is because BB do not make a dual sim phone , if they did I would buy one/

The hub just takes getting used to ,, my only real criticism is with Blackberry link which I hate!, but that is just me I expect.

Just to start... I really like the Hub. It has taken a while to get used to but I now like it.

When in the Hub go to settings and turn off the items that you don't want shown in there. For example if you only want emails turn everything else off as you have your icons for the other apps on the home screen.

Now you only have emails displayed in the Hub.
