I can't figure out how to edit my play lists or delete songs from them after adding them. Can anybody offer up some help?

It isn't intuitive, it isn't you

Open the Music app
Use the bottom left tab changer to select playlists
Open a playlist
Don't select anything and use the edit button (bottom right)

Select your playlist, then once it opens, tap on the edit menu choice at the bottom of the screen. To delete songs, tap on the minus sign by the particular song. To rearrange the songs, tap and hold on the three bars to the right of the song and drag it to where you want it. When finished, tap on Save. You can also add songs through this screen.
