I don't know if this has been fixed in 10.2, but I'm having a big issue with the music player's idea of organization.

So I have every Beatles album on my phone. If I want to browse the albums, I have to scroll through each song from each album like an *****. Why is there not an Artist->Album hierarchy? As it stands, the music app is bordering on unusable.

Check your tags. I have a couple of albums that do not have the album tag correct (if at all) and they would list each separately. Annoying as crap, but after I edited the tags, it fixed it. I still have a few that I havent bothered putting back on my phone out of shear frustration.

It separates the albums, but still lists every song at the same time. So browsing for an album takes minutes when it should take seconds.

If you know the name of the album why don't you just search for it?

Because I like to browse an artist's discography. Sometimes I want to listen to a band, but I'm not sure which album. This is especially true for groups with many records.

Let me make this clearer. This functionality is available on every MP3 player I've ever used, and probably every player I haven't used. It's something that should be remedied, and I'm disappointed that it hasn't been in my 10.2 leak. What's wrong with improving BB10?

Oh, I see what you mean now. After you select artist and it lists all the songs rather than just the albums. Does it do the same when you look at albums?

Precisely.

In album view, I get every album I have on my phone mixed with other artists. So pretty much same problem.
