It makes no sense that when trying to use instant actions to send an sms, the OS presents every phone number for a contact but doesn't specify which is mobile or home or work. I don't have these memorized for the 1000+ contacts I have, so sms instant action is useless for me.

Likewise, when I try to compose through hub and select text, it still shows me all phone numbers. Just show me mobile!!!!!!!

So, I was like you, all "rant over landline vs mobile".

And then a friend told me he can get SMS sent to his landline.

Well. Rant all you want, but BlackBerry actually has a point here.

Your friend is in the minute minority here. When I want to send a text, I should only see Mobile numbers, but instead I see all numbers for that contact. Not intuitive at all.

He is. And I don't benefit from it either.

But I rather we have a feature we don't use than we don't have a feature at all.
