The young customer service person at the Best Buy told me that a microUSB to HDMI cable will make my phone screen visible on my TV screen. I have a Z10 and my wife has a Mega 2 Galaxy phone. Both have a microUSB port and our TV has the HDMI port.
She said it would work from either phone.
    Is she correct?
    Thanks.

No. But the Z10 has a separate HDMI port already.

You will need the Samsung adapter for the Mega 2.

The Z10 has a micro HDMI port, to be exact, so will specifically need a micro HDMI (type D) to HDMI (type A) cable for the Z10.

So to be clear, if I connect this cable, the video will appear on my TV?

And likewise ... the micro HDMI (Type A) to HDMI (Type D) will display video from the Samsung Mega 2 ?

No. For the Samsung, you will need a Samsung USB to HDMI adapter/dongle.

I'd try something from Samsung just in case.

But, instead of investing all of this in cables and adapters, maybe it's time to upgrade from 8 year old phones. New phones all have Chromecast.

You can pick up a Nokia 2.4 for $140. 3 years of support and updates.

Interesting thought. I know I couldn't get used to 6.5" screen. I like the size of the Z10. Any other suggestions?
(Also wonder if Nokia is supported by AT&T).
