Last post of the day! A whole 3 today, oh la la.

Ever wanted to change the display brightness without having to minimize the app? Now you can!

Two finger swipe down from the top now lets you pull down the quick settings menu from anywhere! That's right Anywhere!

Why not just use the PlayBook corner swipe. This would make them accessible with one hand.

I would prefer that, as well.

This should be a single finger swipe and the app settings a two finger swipe if anything. I've needed the quick settings menu far more often then the app settings. And, two fingers is a little cumbersome.

I think it would be nice if you could continue moving one finger down and it would transition from settings within the app to quick settings. Ex. You slide from the top and app settings shows you can either stop there and click any of those settings or continue sliding your finger down and the app settings transitions away to reveal the quick settings.

    Indeed. Very clever one!

Maybe try to tip Michael Clewley about it?

That would be a good solution also. It makes the gesture more intuitive because most new users probably won't know to use the two finger swipe down gesture unless they were shown it, but I believe more people would accidentally swipe down too far and discover your gesture.

Your method would also allow for one handed use. If your gesture is not possible then the other suggestion for a one finger swipe on the sides would a good alternative. Hopefully BlackBerry will use either method instead, but just knowing that BlackBerry will add the quick settings everywhere is very good news.

Gentlemen look closely at the screen shot Michael posted. It looks like the browser with BB 10 icons above it. That's something I have never seen so I wonder what he is not telling us.

Have you guys noticed that this means you can actually check the date from within an app now? Lol
