I just received a message from BlackBerry that is built into the newest OS leak, and is impressive. Meeting Mode automatically silences your phone during meetings. This was truly an unexpected and useful surprise. BlackBerry is certainly playing to their business roots.
    Your thoughts?

Yes I noticed that since I had appointments sync with my GMail account and it poped up and asked me if I want to silent or set to vibrate on the phone. I think this is a good and thoughtful feature.

I discovered that feature myself and used it the past couple of days, it worked like a charm. If my meeting starts at 11Am and it automatically goes into silent/vibrate mode and every message or call will just vibrate the phone letting me know I have a notification.

When the meeting ends, it automatically goes back into the ring mode and enables the notification sounds. All you have to do to enable this feature is go into the calendar app, swipe from top down and go into settings and enable the meeting mode.

This is a great little feature and makes my BlackBerry z30 a business tool, now when I set up my meetings in the calendar app, I don't have to worry about my phone making noises while in a meeting with my clients.

I use this but unfortunately it doesn't silence the keyboard on my z30.

Putting it in silent mode normally will silence the keyboard though, but when it goes through meeting mode the keyboard still makes sound.

I'm guessing this is to be perfected in a later version

I had one meeting set for two hours, one for an hour and a half and another for 45 minutes and they all worked fine, the phone went into silent mode during the meetings and back into ring mode when the meeting completed based on the settings in my calendar app.

I've had very good use of this function mainly because sometimes I forgot to switch to silent mode in a meeting.
I only realised it works when the phone vibrate and inform me it is in meeting mode.

    Nice feature.

I believe this feature was available in 1052. I know 1130 has it but I have not used it yet

Ok I was having issues and did some testing to make it work for me...

The meeting mode only activates when meeting entry status is set to "Busy". It will still allow call through when set to status "Free"

Appointment mode is brilliant. It is easily one of my favorite features of the 10.3 OS.
