    As I don't have airplane mode on my quick setting, I couldn't do that.
    But I did manually shut down network and wifi connections.

    ok try to restart the phone when it is already in airplane mode... if you havent already.

    Type "security wipe" from the home screen. And see if you able to wipe your phone.
