Very cool that they updated the camera app, and looks like they addressed the single biggest complaint about the Z10 camera - low-light noise. Yay!

I was hoping they would do that, because clearly they have the ability to address a lot of the uncompetitive aspects in software.. but to be honest I wasn't sure they would actually make the effort. Nice to see.

Now for some work on the exposure control and autofocus. Sorta miffed that they really really avoid any sort of manual controls on this OS. I would love an exposure-compensation slider or something.

I have a Maps app from 10.2 that works on 10.1 OS.
Is there any big changes than the 10.1 version?
Could pleas send some screen shots from the changes?
Could you share with us please a link where we could download and install?

I just tried it and Instagram is working for me with the Camera Bar in the OP installed.

STL100-3, T-Mobile US, OS 10.1.0.2354 plus various later OS Apps Installed
Try deleting or updating instagram. It won't work.

You got this information by hexediting the camera bar file?
No, I got this information by using tools I have to look at both the original and processed image files that the new camera produces. (It's kind enough to save BOTH on the SD card which allowed me to run some of my photography-related tools on them.)

Part of my "day job" involves journalism-related stuff, including photojournalism, and as a result I have a very full-featured editing and production deck here for both stills and video.

Note that luminance noise reduction does in fact cost you image detail -- there is no such thing as a free lunch. But the difference in perceived image quality can be pretty significant, and in this case it is.

The Maps link provided here won't work on your Z10 because it requires a newer cascades for the bb::cascades::maps::MapView::setCaptionText() function.
You need an older 10.2 maps app.

Here's what I'm curious about. Since Kris doesn't think 10.2 is worth sharing, whether you can use the 10.2 radio file and create a hybrid with the 4285 OS file?
No that's not possible just like it's not possible to interchange 10.0 and 10.1 OS/Radio files.

Also not that it's not worth leaking, just to much heat surrounding it

This version of map is 10.200.0.9 Sorry, must have been looking at the wrong bar. 10.2.0.33 is corrent
The map from 10.2.0.93 is still 10.1.0.761
    Map in 10.1.0.4285 is 10.1.0.790
    Map in 10.1.0.2354 is 10.1.0.788

So the work around is to downgrade the camera app to 10.1, reboot, delete and reinstall Instagram, then reupgrade the camera app.

    Not a big deal.

I don't think the issue is with the camera app I think the issue with you trying to install a non-working version of Instagram. If it is the newest confirmed working version, there is a workaround included in the thread for it.

Well I installed it together the first time and it didn't push the bar files... Once I installed each separately it was ok and loaded up fine on the Q10...
