I'm currently running the 10.2.1.575 leak. Can someone who's tried the others as well tell me if it's worth it to upgrade to the 1791 or the new 1803 that just got posted?

Well thechnicly .1803 is more freash and you can consider it as the last "official"
10.2.1 branch is a developement/testing branch for brand new features and tool and it isnt well polished.
So you still have the last leak where. 1803 is the last official

Hopefully the battery life on the new 1803 is on par with 1791. I really want the radio fm so we'll see what others say about that leak

Okay, yea I agree that it is fresh, however, 10.2.1.xxx will be coming out too after the official 10.2.0.xxx, so besides the pin being watermarked, and the Android run-time needing some more performance and stability tweaks, I think its pretty good. Also, I want the DELETE PRIOR option back! However, everything else that is BlackBerry-made seems to be stable.

    Edit:

It's only .1791 - .1803, how big of a change can it be? And its a whole gig+ to download.

Surely cant argue agaisnt as I'm still a happy 10.2.1 myself

I think so too, we rush a mature 10.2.0 state now, and it's time to show us more

To get the Delete Prior back

? You'll need to set Display Style (in Hub Settings > Display and Actions) to "Single Messages"

? It doesn't work if you have it set to "Conversation"...

How it works is that at some point 10.2 was considered feature complete, and 10.2.1 branched off as a new OS. 10.2.0 kept going forward with bug and performance fixes, while 10.2.1 went ahead with new features. So the latest 10.2.0 release may be newer, more stable, better for battery, etc., but it won't have as much of the cool stuff as 10.2.1 has. Think of it as getting an update for Windows 7, after Windows 8 has been released. The Win7 update itself might be newer than Win8, it just won't have any of the shiny new features.

That's also why 10.2.0 doesn't have your PIN in the corners. It's much closer to release, and is likely a version meant for carrier testing. 10.2.1 is far off, and all the testing is currently internal, so it's got a few more security features baked in, so that they know who's using it. The PINs will probably disappear when 10.2.1 gets closer to official release.

It is 100% depending on YOU, whats is your taste and what kind of person are you. If you wish to have "STABILITY", then is worth to load 10.2.0.1803/1791. If you are kind of BLEDING EDGE software addict, then 10.2.1.575 is most fit for you. For me my Z10 is for supporting office JOBs, thus stability will be the top priority. I will NOT load UNSTABLE software, but The Latest Stable One, 1803 ... I will load for this.

If you decide to load 1803 on your phone I highly recommend a backup. In case you have issues. If you have a lot of contacts and can afford to lose or have issue with them then I would encourage you to purchase the ContactX app. It's only $1.99 and is a really good investment.

I have 575 and recently loaded 1803 and it was a total nightmare when I restored my phone after editing the manifest. I have 785 contacts and upon restoring it only showed 39. I figured that I would allow some time for the phone to settle but nothing changed. After trying to sync with outlook to pull over my contacts, only 54 showed up. I reloaded the back up file and 64 showed this time. After synching with outlook nothing changed. I then loaded an older backup and synced with outlook with 1129 records showing.

After a good night's sleep in decided to reload 575 and when I restored everything worked out fine. I even noticed that my IMAP email accounts showed up and when I restored to 1803 they were gone.

I don't know what happened but I assume that possibly there is a difference in file structure or something.

Anyway...1803 is a really god build but make sure you have a backup and I recommend ContactX is you really need to backup you contacts.

    BlackBerry Z...my weapon of choice.
