    That's not true at for all previous Blackberrys. The Storm & Storm2 allowed you to turn off the shutter sound.

    Same question...
    I have a Z10 and a 9900...
    For the 9900 I have been advised to PURCHASE a third party app to get that "feature"?!!!!

    On my z10, you can disable all sounds through the notification settings.

    After upgrading to 1925 on my Z10, then to 2141, I don't get sound on screen shot anymore. Just a pop up.

    Put it on silent and the shutter will be off. Not very complicated but I'd you don't know, you don't know.
    This was implement in 10.2 I believe.
