....should be at least a password entered to unhide. Thoughts?

Already proposed this to blackberry. They said it's a little late for that suggestion, but will see what they can do.

It's so simple to unhide a photo, so I really think a password should be imminent

I didn't know about file manager. That's crazy. Must not be fully developed yet.

On the bright side it's still quite useful for those that have not used BlackBerry 10 they may not not how to unhide pictures?

I can't trust my photos with ppl who have no experience. One easy swipe down will reveal unhide, and all hell can break loose.

On bbos, it was so embedded that only super advanced users knew how to hide pics

I agree. Hopefully they'll add a password feature in a future release.

It was never intended to truly "hide" the pictures. It was simply designed to remove them from your picture roll.

There are plenty of good apps in bbw that really do hide and password protect files.

Long press on picture, and select "hide". On 10.3.1.

Well, the actual implementation seems to agree with me.

For me, it's just about handing your phone to someone else to look at your pics and not having your picture roll populated with stuff you may not want the world to see.

It just makes it easier than having a separate folder with a .nomedia nul file in it.

oh I think i get it.

It's not for handing your phone to others to view your pictures but to handle then yourself and show other people your pictures app.

So they can't unhide or anything you can avoid entering a specific picture and then showing them (so they can't see other personal photos)

With 10.3.1 you ca n boldly scroll through the pictures app in front of others

I would prefer to both scroll thru my pictures app infront of someone and hand someone my phone. Therefore, I want a lock.
