Three days after completion of my updated my update to 10.3, several hundreds of pictures just disappeared. They are not there anymore. I didn't use any autoloader for completing my update.

Did anyone of you experience something similar?

How can I get my pictures back?

    Thanks

Were they stored in the SD card or in the device?

Did you look for them in File Manager? Sometimes the indexing gets messed up but the pictures are still accessible through the File Manager.

The pictures were on my device. I didn't save anything on a card.

I checked the file manager as well. The pictures are not on my phone. The interesting thing is that only my camera pictures are missing from a specific time frame. Exactly, from beginning of October until the 11th of March.

I really don't understand why my pictures got lost three days after my update. For me at least, it is not making any sense.

Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks

I'm taking this as a good lesson to always keep a backup copy of anything important. Try hard resetting the phone though. I've noticed some weird acting up with photos every once in a while.

It's curious that the photos were on the device. Most data loss issues are SD card related... can you see them when you connect to a computer?

Another thought I am having is that maybe an app from the Amazon store has damaged my blackberry system. Is that possible?

Recovery tools I know rely on block access to the storage. I'm not sure if the USB storage device exposed by the BlackBerry OS allows block access to internal flash but if you ever need to recovery files off an SD can I highly recommend Memory Card Photo Recovery Software for Mac - Card Rescue which saved my photos. It was worth the money for me considering the valuable photos.
