    Hey,

I live in Canada, and am heading down to the USA. Is there any offline maps I can load on my Z10?

I haven't had a chance to try it out yet myself, but ive heard very good things about BlackBerry World - Mireo DON'T PANIC Try and Buy I plan to use it for the same reason myself. I love waze while in canada, but those roaming data rates are crazy!

It's got a trial so it's certainly worth trying

I know that view ranger allows you to create offline map sets. It's more of an outdoor GPS type app though, so no routing or that sort of thing. I think it would be mostly useful for storing topo maps, or maps of smaller areas. Anyway, it's free, so easy to check out.

You can find it at http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/87237

This... I recently used the trial version to take a camping trip where my tmobile signal is a big fat zero and this app was fantastic! do bring along a charger though because it does burn through battery pretty quick. Other than that I'd highly recommend it and I've already purchased the whole version

I used the trial of Mireo and as soon as the trial was over, I purchased it. Works awesome. BlackBerry maps is great but not when trying to same on data consumption.

    Good luck

    Big +1 for Mireo

I use it outdoors and very happy. I like that you can search by coordinates.

I went out at bought a premium 1.8 Amp BlackBerry car charger. Then installed Mireo and used it for my daytrip in the USA. Very happy with the App. A+++. No issues. When you DL the 2 Gig map, just remember to use wifi. I thought mine was turned on, but it wasn't. Lucky I have 5 Gigs. Only thing to make it better is to have SD support. I heard it's coming soon, so get this app!

Mireo works very well. I bought it.

My only complaint is that it's a massive power pig. They ought to provide a means to turn down the responsiveness a bit and save some power.

If you have the BlackBerry premium car charger you'll be fine, but with a 1A charger or less you can actually wind up drawing down the phone battery with the app in use!

OsmAnd is a free alternative if you only download a few maps.
