    Howdy CrackBerry-ians,

I discovered this last night, and I didn't see this listed from a quick forum search, so I thought I'd share it.

If gestures to unlock phone is enabled it is possible to lock the screen from the lock screen.

    For example:
If i wanted to check an event, notifications or even the time. Swipe up partially to unlock, whilst still holding finger on screen; then pull it back down to the end of the screen. It should lock the phone at this point.

This is basically peaking underneath, you arent actually unlocking/locking the device.

My intention is not to peak under the lock screen. It is to check any notifications, and or the time. If I don't let go of the screen, I can pull it back down to make the screen shut off, with out ever having to use the button atop the Z10. Perhaps, I mistake your comment?

I use this feature when i show the phone to others. In under two seconds, i can decide how I wish to proceed. I use that ability a lot. I have since been using Hub++ and get led, sound, and previews, and now only use it occasionally. Its a neat feature.

Try this if you are happ with using the power button. You can do it one handed (more awkward) or with 2.
Before pressing the power button, touch the screen on the viewable area, not the bezel, hold it (finger or thumb touching the screen at the top of the "touch" portion about a 1/2" below the ear speaker) , and press the power button and release your digit from the screen, and it will fully unlock without having to swipe.
