Hey guys. I'm having problem with my Z3 running 10.3.1.1151 leak regarding location services usage.

I also had this problem when I was on 10.2.1 official release.

My phone uses location service in idle mode which means there is no app running and no active frame. (I recognize it by seeing location service symbol in top left corner)

I'm not sure which app or service is using it and as a result, it drains my battery real quick. In these cases I have to turn location service off.

Plus, this happens occasionally, not all the times. And I notice it occurs most likely during my working hours when I'm in the office building.

I have below native apps that are allowed for location service use:
    BBM
    BlackBerry Protect
    BBVE
    BlackBerry Travel
    Facebook
    BlackBerry Maps
    Weather

    - And below Android apps that can't be turned location service permission off:
    Amazone appstore
    Ghost Commander
    Hayday
    HayhayTV
    Google maps
    OALD
    Oxford dictionaries

Sometimes I think it is due to BlackBerry Protect's trying to locate my device on a frequent basis which is hard since I'm inside the building and there is no app currently running.

If anyone experience the same please give suggestions / ideas. That would be very appreciated.

    Thanks!

I believe it is either one of those Android apps. I used all native apps you mentioned except BlackBerry Travel, and it doesn't drain my battery that fast even when I'm using Maps turn-by-turn navigation. Using a Z10, btw.

Try this Android app if you want to change permissions for Android apps:

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...appopslauncher

I'm not sure if there's a better one, but that's what I use and it works on 10.3.0 so far

I had the same problem with the .1151 build on my Q10. Was able to fix it by using Aerize Optimizer and killing any unnecessary Android apps. Have a feeling the file that was causing the issue was called pico ttl.
