So i had a Z10 since AT&T release in the US and it got stolen 3 days ago. just got a new one yesterday and i noticed a problem yesterday, i was trying to sideload apps yesterday using the chrome playbook manager thing, and kept getting error messages. every five minutes i get the "Installing Blackberry Link" pop up on my phone but i already have blackberry link on my laptop (mac version) I never had a problem with this. but now I'm just guessing that it's not recognizing being plugged in. Anyway i can fix this?

Did you do the switch device on link. As you said you got a new phone so it would have to be set up with link.

And also in Link, remove the previous device and make sure it's your new one that has a profile.

Sorry to hear about your other phone!

So you never made a Backup with Link of original Z10 I assume?

What device did you have before Z10? Another BB? If so, did you initially use the Device Switch with Link to transfer your data?

I did do a backup with my last Z10 in May and i never could make another back up again, some reason blackberry link always ended up crashing, tried it on my sisters HP running windows 7 and same thing happened. so i didnt bother trying to install a backup that was 3 months old.

I had an iPhone 5 but like i said i dont have any intention on getting my information back onto my phone. seeing as they stole my 32gb sd card too. i dont really need anything to fill my 16 gb of internal storage

Do you have the most up to date link software as there is a new one version 1.1.1 (build 33)
If not download new one install and set up as new device.

The info that Link would restore was never on your media card anyway.

If you have lots of Contacts for example, that might be a good reason to restore that Backup. Anyway you'll have to get it all working first...

Go into link and hit the three dots on bottom right click show disconnected devices. Your old device will probably pop up on the left click the up arrow on it and remove. Have you done this it's probably associating your old device.

You need to go to Settings->Storage->Connect to Mac in USB settings.

You can verify this in the 'Boot' tab of Sachesi.

Are you signed in. It might be recognizing your old blackberry id associated to your other device so did you set up a new id on the new phone or used your original one.
