GTA Telus, STL100-3, does not work on first trial (same error as this country does not support hotspot usage), and then turn on the hotspot features, and it works fine.

Sometimes, I also received the "country does not support" error using mobile hotspot, but it doesn't do it anymore. It happened 3 times and has since stopped returning the error. Like the others, the mobile hotspot still worked, on subsequent attempts. I still may end up seeing the error message again, but I haven't for the last several mobile hotspot connections.

Yep not working for me either on Z10STL100-4/10.2.0.1047, even with the 10.1.0.32 escreens bar sideloaded to open up for greyed-out options.

That's where the 10.1.0.32 bar is from.

I still haven't been able to get it working on mine yet... I saw a bar file that I will try changing later when I'm home to see if it does anything. Something about sys.data.carrierdata or maybe it was a different one. Will see....

hotspot is working for me. V4 on Verizon. First attempt failed after several tries. Had to do a battery pull and has been working consistent every since.
Can anyone test to see if this works for them? I am considering upgrading, but rely on the hotspot feature too much.

I guess I should clarify that sideloading the escreens bar doesn't get through the configuration hangups. I'm assuming if you were able to imitate some of the solutions that other posters have suggested, it might work for you. Unfortunately for me, I'm too lazy right now to reboot my phone repeatedly in hopes of opening it up, lol.

All that the escreen bar does is that it allows you to toggle on or off the "VZW over tethering/MHS Entitlement" option, which in newer builds, is grayed out. The newer OS seems to have implemented an extra authorization step or check for hotspot. Either that or BlackBerry just screwed something up in that feature. lol

Nope doesn't work for me, stl-3 bell. I don't want to switch back to an old os. This one is to good and battery life is way better when wifi is turned over. I just rely on hot spot so much, I'm in a little bit of a pickle.

Here's an update: Internet Tethering through bluetooth seems to work fine when turned on first. I am able to use it perfectly time after time. Turning it on and off.

On the downside, if I try to use the wireless hotspot, it still doesn't work. Also, after trying to turn on the internet tethering through bluetooth after the hotspot fails, internet tethering fails to start up and work. It sometimes gets stuck on the Spinner trying to initiate or I get the message that wireless hotspot needs to be disabled first to work even though it had been disabled. Even putting the phone in airplane mode to turn off all connections seems to be glitchy and doesn't fix the issue either. I'm beginning to think it's an actual glitch in how BlackBerry configured the connections in this OS.

Summary: For me at least, Bluetooth tethering works when the phone boots up and wireless hotspot is never initiated. I wasn't able to figure out how to get the tethering to work through USB, it might be me not fully understanding Windows 8.1

    Q10 in US - ATT. Running 10.2.0.1047.

I actually started a thread about it not working for me. However, it now works.

After several attempts removing battery / SIM, calling ATT and playing with the settings - I finally got it to work and keep working.

Security Type: WPA2Personal. Allow connected devices to exchange data with each other to ON. Press "save" and go back. Then restart using the button at top. That's the only way it worked for me but it is working from now on and I'm not fooling with it again.

Mobile hotspot Working on my SQN 100-3, not working on STL100-1, then I realize there is no "router mac adress" at diagnostic ( inside mobile hotspot on STL 100-1) also there is no wifi direct and miracast inside wifi setting like SQN 100-3.
