I just upgraded to the Classic on Verizon, and loving it so far. At the moment I'm running the stock OS. Does anyone know if basic (free) visual voicemail will still work on the Classic if I load a leaked 10.3.2 OS?

You load a leaked version of an OS, your warranty goes out the window.......

Leaks are a roll of the dice, some are winners for some devices/folks, and others may/are hobbled/missing features.

My Z30 is still on the "stock OS release" from purchase (1.5 yrs. ago), great battery, and running as snappy as day one. I will wait (for VZW to push/release the update) and watch/read here in the forums BEFORE I do it, if I do it.

Yes, I realize that my warranty goes out the window. I've loaded lots and lots of leaks on my z10. I was just wondering if anyone had success loading a leaked OS on the verizon classic and still keeping their free basic vvm. Thanks for the reply, though.

I wouldn't screw around with 10.3.2 on your Classic at the moment, my personal opinion, especially if it's your daily driver. You may have issues downgrading if it doesn't work out. Look around some of the .500 leak threads first.

I would recommend loading one of the latest builds of 10.3.1 (either .2708 or .2726) on your Classic vs. heading into 10.3.2 right now. If you run into trouble, there's currently no way back and there are still some outstanding issues with those builds at this point.

Basic Verizon VVM is free on the Classic. Premium is $2.99. All other BlackBerry phones, $2.99.

I appreciate all the advice. Does anyone know if I can still utilize the free visual voice mail on my Verizon classic if I load a leaked OS? Whether it's a higher 10.3.1 or an early 10.3.2. I loaded up a bunch of leaks on my Z10, including both 10.3.2 leaks that have come out, and I utilized the work around to get the premium vvm working, but now with my classic I can use the free basic version, and I'd like to keep using that and load leaks if I can. Again, apologies if this has been asked elsewhere. I did search and didn't find anything.

I used Sachesi to upgrade to a newer OS to fix my SMS issues and it kept the free basic VVM. No work around required.

I'm on AT&T, but also have free visual voicemail. Loading leaks has not affected the VVM on my AT&T Passport.

Thanks, roba. I think verizon is a bit different, as the classic for some reason is the only BlackBerry that currently gets vvm. All others need to use a workaround and subscribe to the premium.
