What's the easiest way to sideload the new release for a Q10? Can I do this over the air or do I have to plug in to my computer (I do have SNAP if this helps)? Do I have to back up, or just let it rip? Where do I go and where are there step by step instructions for the back up? Will it just run, or will I need to reinstall accounts, passwords, apps, etc.? When is the AT&T release going to be available?

I had never heard about the sync to cloud option for password keeper, thanks! I'll look into syncing the contacts with another service.
    It's a new option in OS 10.3.1

I am trying to download Sachesi...it's been hours and seems to still be installing, but I can't tell. How do you know when it's done installing. It currently says:

    Installing OS: 10.3.0.1418
    Installing Radio: 10.3.0.1419
    Installing 197 .bar(s)..
Error: Your device can only process one task at a time. Please wait for previous install to complete.

Have you read the how to guides?
Why are you trying to load a 10.3.0.x build from last year?

I don't know how or what to pick and choose. If there are better comprehensive instructions for this newer, better version, pls direct me to them.

Its very confusing. Assume knowledge of autoloader and many not explicit. Also seems to imply it does a wipe and you lose all your current setup/data, etc. Would be helpful to have basic, step by step instructions for Q10.

Instructions are same for all devices.

Autoloader: destructive. Back up if you want to restore. Be aware that restoring backups may or may not mess up your clean install.

    Blitz: non-destructive.

If you're confused, then don't do anything.

You're speaking in a code that you obviously understand, but escapes me. I have no idea what Blitz is or what you are saying. As I said, I only want to do an install if it goes smoothly and leaves all my apps, contacts, set up in place.

Spend some time reading the sticky threads in the leaked OS section of the forums.

You have to know enough about the Sachesi/blitz process not only to do it, but to take the necessary precautions in case it goes wrong.

Well, I somehow download 10.3.1.1779. All I know is the icons on my home screen seem to have moved around, with some new ones added, I lost the picture that was on the screen is gone -- but overall, the device/screen seems a lot smaller because other things seem to be occupying the geographically, like some sort of navigation bar at the bottom when I'm texting...makes the remaining space for the text very small.

...and you have no idea how you did that? Your Q10 just magically updated?

Sorry, but I cannot comment further without being insulting. Best of luck anyway.

Whatever I did the first time didn't work...the install was hanging up. So I went to you tube and basically re-tried the Sochesi install, making sure I selected my device and everything to "get the latest" update (not sure if it really is the latest, and after 30-40 mins it installed, and abt another hour or so later, it installed on my device. And then my device robooted, which took a while...and now that's where I am. Trying to learn 10.3.

Nice to have Android Apps via the Amazon store, but I finally learned how to get Android Apps on 10,2 via SNAP, so I'm really not sure there's anything in 10.3 that's so great...but I'm just learning. I think there's an ability to assign command/finctions to the hard keys. So maybe I can speed call or speed text someone by holding down a key. That would be great. The touch edit function is supposed to be better, although it's taking some getting used to, but the other one wasn't good.

Crackberry has a bothersome pop up ad on the bottom which seems to get in the way.

    Haha sorry.
    Q10.
I used the OS_10_3_1_2072_Q10_5 file in the original post.
I connected the phone and ran the file. It seemed to be doing the rest.

The file you downloaded may be corrupt.

Try the autoloader from here: http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-le...rchive-943672/

You may also want to consider a newer OS to load as .2072 is quite an old one, for 10.3.1 we are up to .2726 now.

Too bad I wasn't able too back up via Link. It looks like I'm starting over.

I was successful in getting 10.3.02.0283 on the phone though. Am I correct to assume that the numbers along the sides of the screen will be there until I get an official release?
