Just saying that people that bought BB10 devices maybe love original design.
Android by Google maybe went flat, but the best selling devices are made by Samsung, and Samsung Touch Wiz is not flat. Tech crowd around forums are maybe jerking on original Google design, but Android in real retail isn't flat. It is skinned as hell.
Also, majority of iOS users that I know are not happy with new iOS look, but they are extremely happy with iOS features and iOS app store so they are OK with the change as long as they can enjoy ecosystem.
If BB10 goes flat route, maybe one of last reasons to stick with BB10 is gone....
just my c5.
change is needed and this one is welcome. Dont say flat all the time there are gradients when needed.
Ugh, I feel bad for BlackBerry right now. All of these complaints over things that were never meant to be seen by the public, most of which have likely been fixed or changed by now.
For all we know, the red could just be a placeholder while they update UI elements, so that they can see quickly at a glance where it is and isn't showing up properly.
What I really want to know is when is the Squircle making a comeback?
1) I love that the gray boxes behind the apps are gone. We can see more of our wallpaper now. However, if they really are gone for good, then I'd like to see some of the app icons change as well. Icons like the one for Text Messages don't seem to fit really that we'll with the layout of the rest of the OS. If the menus and general design of the software is being made "flatter", I hope the icons get a bit of a revamped design to make things consistent.
2) I actually really love the new black/red theme BlackBerry's using. It's bold and, in a sense, "executive." I know this isn't the final version of the OS and that many things can still change, but I just hope that it's consistent. Get rid of most of the blue and replace it with red if it really will be the new theme.
3) I'm really excited for the new power consumption options (face-down to power off screen/pick up to turn on).
4) I'm not too particular about camera features but I know many are and I'm glad to see that the camera is getting a big boost in functionality. Panorama mode was much-needed and the option to save individual Time Shift frames is neat!
Overall I'm very excited to see BlackBerry keeping things fresh for 10.3!
Anyone else have issues with blue tooth not turning on? I pressed the blue tooth a bunch of times and it opened a debug box in the bottom left. Showed CPU, FPS, and a bunch of other things. It doesn't show up in screen shots however.
