Thanks. So I might install it tonight. Do you have any idea what apps on 10.3 os don't work?

    Tried a few bars:

Music (airtunes): Squat. Crashes on load.
BB World: Not sure what's new.
    Sysmon: Not sure what's new.
    Weather: Not sure what's new.
Offline Timeshift: Apparently one can save Timeshift intermediates now.
    Camera: Squat. Crashes on load.
    Clock: Looks sweet. See below.
    Calculator: Not sure what's new.
    Browser: Broken. See below.
    Remember: Squat. Crashes on load.

Settings checked in "Contacts": Nope no individual Color Options - yet. But this early Build is far far away from feature complete. Everything can happen - good and bad
Thanks for checking. Hopefully it will be in a later build.

Ok, I will wait for the leak to z10 stl 001

    Thanks

    Z10 stl 001
just tried sideloading few bars on my STL-100-1 ... results as follows:

    1. Camera: CRASH INSTANTLY
    2. Picture: WONT OPEN.
    3. Picture.editor: WONT INSTALL (stuck at 49% and then hangs and ends the process)
    4. Offline.time.shift: NO EFFECT (old timeshift still working strong though)

it was logical that these bars wont work given that Stl-100-1 has a different hardware... but was so tempted to load them and try my luck... after i saw few stl-100-1 queries...i just decided to play around...now loaded back the old bars (left the offline.timeshift as it is :P).. everything working fine again...!!

I tried loading the android runtime from 10.3 onto 10.2.1.

It kind of works but I get a repeated error message that Android.process.acore has stopped.

    So, I would not bother.

    Posted via CB10
Got the same Message on this OS with a ported Android App. But after i pressed OK the App started and worked fine. Must be some Changes in the Core OS<->Android API Connection.

Please share android runtime bar files

    Z10STL100-1/10.2.1.2228
I have a feeling that the runtime is older than the current 10.2.1.2234 runtime, I don't have any proof, but the file size is a giveaway to me, up until 2142 or the next build the runtime was about 150 mb, the 2234 runtime is only 80 or so mb. My theory is that they removed some old legacy 2.6 stuff along the way. The few apps I've opened don't perform any differently, the same sirius stuttering when not active and screen off exists, the Disney app doesn't know location and some others don't load just like they previously were.

    Just my $.02

Same results for me on android runtime loaded on 10.2.1.2234. After restart, the apps mostly work after several errors. I have reverted to the runtime from 10.2.1.2228

And the camera would not work at all so back to an older version

They need real UI designers now more than ever considering they want to switch to "flat" theme.

Overflow button: There was good reason why this button was pushed up/extruded unlike the rest of the buttons next to it. Because it has a completely different context. Having it flat like the rest of the buttons makes it very confusing considering that you have "more options" vertical three dots on the right side so your user would think "I have two setting buttons?" Bad design.

Switches: Greyed out switches for turned off? Really? It looks like you cant tap it to turn it on or off, looks like its disabled. There was nothing wrong with previous switches but if you want to go minimal just have a light circle which turns on in color when its on and remains in white when its off, when its disabled leave it greyed out.

Grey App Boxes: form taping area unity out of app icons and make lettering legible as you can tell by few user screens here when you have bright wallpaper you cant really read the name of the app.

Free floating flat buttons: I really don't now what to say about this. In music app they look decent but in Camera app it looks like a disaster. Due to failed flat design you cant even tell what it is.

There is a big difference between minimal, flat and bad design. BB10 was already minimal, it had some early 2000s design elements but that was nothing that couldn't be fixed. Right now we are heading into bad design that wants to be flat design. If you want to design flat why not look at the best piece of work as your guide

    Attachment 257817
Floating buttons are so ugly I must say, whether in the music app or the camera app or even in the device manager.

Why can't they put the bottom bar back but just a lot thinner than it is now in 10.2.1

I actually loaded the new browser, 10.3.0.7, over 10.2.1.2234 and it is working fine on Z10 stl100-3. It was broken until a volume key restart. Have not done any benchmark comparisons, but everything is fully functional and seems as quick or quicker than before.

Since I will probably not load the full OS, at least this gives me a taste of the new red theme.
I INSTALLED THE the new browser, 10.3.0.7, over 10.2.1.2234 and it is working fine on Z10 stl100-1 TOO.

LOVE THE RED AND BLACK. WOW EFFECTS IN SETTINGS. NEW FEEL IS GOOD.
