What is the best way to install the official 10.1 from Rogers? I have the leaked 1762 installed and am having an occasional problem where someone's text message shows up as coming from someone else. So on 10.1 when you backup and restore, the email accounts are still there, you just enter the passwords again?

Unlike on the PlayBook, where email accounts don't get backed up.

Or let me ask you this: on the Z10 what does not get restored after a full backup?

Correct, as long as you restore the settings from your back-up, otherwise you have to set-up email from scratch again.

The only thing that isn't restored is side-loaded Android apps.

the only thing i noticed so far is that the payment option is not working.

*maybe cuz i made a restore.

i found a very easy workaround for this problem. just click on any paid app and go till the payment page util it asks to click PAY NOW. cancel it there and this bug is gone

BB support just emailed me yesterday that BB officially started roll out 10.1.x for Z10 yesterday and asked me to check software update to see if it's available. Good news for BB. but for my VZW phone, not sure when the update will be available. Keep fingers crossed. BTW, can anyone confirm that if there is a way to replace the leaked OS with original one that came with the carrier if we do full backup before the update. Also after applying leaked OS, will the phone become unlocked? Thanks.

Right here. =) I only have one issue where my gmail account keeps asking for password verification. I noticed that my mobile data connection keeps switching at those moments. But it that doesn't appear to affect everyone and I've had that issue on previous OS's as well. But other than that, I'm very happy with it.

It's my understanding that its up the the carrier to allow new updates to be released, not RIM. RIM gives them a generic OS and they bloat it with all their crapware.. Then month or so later they release it.. if they feel like it.

Got this up and running on my Verizon -4. So far it runs awesome. Took a good 30 minutes to recover and load all my contacts, but now it is very snappy. Skype and instagram working very well.

Anyone having problems with BlackBerry Maps? I'm on Verizon with 10.1.0.1756 for stl100-4 loaded. I'm trying to figure out if this is a carrier issue, OS issue or device issue. Maps worked with Verizon's latest

Issue: Maps will find my location and give me a list of turn-by-turn directions, but when I try to launch the navigator it gives me an error.

Update: Tried Maps again today, and it works. Must've been a freak scenario.

Some folks reported having this problem when they loaded a leaked 10.1. The work-around for them was to delete all active text chats; all new messages after that had the correct senders.

Could have been worse, what if your wife forgot she sent you that message then saw it from a buddy. I had the same problem, the fix was to delete all my text messages, now they are coming in properly.

Updated my Verzion STL-4 from 1627 to 1762 and eBay app doesn't work anymore. Any suggestions? Is there a file I can delete to reset it?

One thing I have noticed is the Hub seems much slower in this version. Specifically opening emails and marking them as read. I read an email and go back into the Hub and the email stays marked as read for quite awhile (like 5-15 seconds) when it used to be fairly close to instantaneous.

Currently am running O.S.10.1.0.1720 on my Z10 and so far so good and I really didn't notice much in the way of changes from 10.1.0.1683.
