For Applications update yes u can. But if u want to have the full update including the core OS, then NO. You have to flash it.

Bad decision by Blackberry there IMO but they probably didn't forsee the need. They've made the decision and it's too late now.

Guess I will go Kris way! Frustrated with BlackBerry now. Too much short on hardware terms and inconsistent. We already missing quite a lot when the device is just 9 months old in the market. It's a very sad goodbye I would say. No more money for this Crap of getting short on features.

My next device is almost for sure will not be BlackBerry. Maybe ios or Windows. Want to stay away from android.

If my understanding is correct, the STL100-1 has the hardware for it. It is however unlikley that BB will implement it only for the STL100-1, thus no Z10 user will get it.

What I'm not certain about is, if the hardware exist could an enterprising developer make an app for the Z10s that could use it?

Seeing that most of the posts related to the introduction of leaks deal with a number of off-topic items, it would be helpful if folks testing the leak would highlight in blue if the leak has a positive change from a previous leak, or in red if the leak has a negative change from a previous leak.

This was the usual process for leaks in the BB OS era, and I think many found it helpful - particularly as these threads grow to 50 or so pages. (Again, not criticizing anyone for posting other comments - just trying to figure out an efficient way to discover new things about a leak without reading 50+ pages of posts for each leak).
