Looks like.

Maybe one of the post 3216 updates squeezes out, but with the end of sales/development in August this thread has probably run its course.

Which is why I added "memorial", but unfortunately folks don't seem to be sticking to either spotted or their fondness of BB10. This thread isn't about y'alls next phone. Go find another thread for that crap. This started with hope, had some great moments, and will end with respect and appreciation, like any eulogy should.

They'll probably never release an update at this point. No carrier would bother with device testing with the OS showing its age. It's a shame, still love my passport.

That took a little longer than I expected, but thanks for coming through thurask!

Of course it's possible that that would not occur. It's possible that fire will come down from heaven and burn Alphabet Inc, parent company of Google, to the ground. It's even possible that Blackberry Mobile might be hiding their true dismal sales numbers from the rest of us. But it's not likely.

Likewise, while RIM did promise Blackberry 10 was coming to the Playbook and couldn't technically pull it off, it's not likely that Thurber is going to go on record as saying an update is coming to a platform that as you have pointed out is going EOL if it's not actually happening.

It's never been about tossing chum, in hopes of an internet brawl. This does nothing to dignify a cherished legacy OS, nor your dedication to it.

If something hits the servers, it will get posted. Someday I hope you'll wax eloquently about your romance with BB10. I look forward to it, not to say I told you so, but because I know your passion will shine through, in ways few others can match. You don't really want posts like this to tarnish that sentiment, evoking torts of "remember when you said..." do you?

I held onto my Passport until it became too much. Updated to a Key2 LE, only to discover later it was the Indian version which doesn't get any updates either.
