I set up a data monitor on my z10 and was staggered by the results.

    Over 8 hours:

    Cellular network: 38MB
    Wifi: 447MB

The phone was untouched on a desk for four hours and for the remainder of the day I exchanged 15 emails, and checked Twitter, ebay and this forum a couple of times.

While I was using the phone it did one random reboot. Who knows if there were others whole it was unattended. I am wondering if it is the process of rebuilding the hub after a reboot that is using so much data?

If nothing else I have confirmed I do need an unlimited data package!

i think it's certainly a contributor,,, just think, every time you reboot, all your active aps, (weather, etc.), need too update their info,,, remember, BIS is gone, so no compression...

Today's up-to-date phones need unlimited data because the phone in order to keep you updated it needs data. Also the faster the phone the more data it uses

No, it depends on how and where you use it. I used to use about 150 MB a month on my BIS plan, I use the same amount of data now. I check FB, Twitter, CB, Linked in and have nine active email accounts.

I only get 750mb of data and somehow use 100mb a day with my Q10!! I have to turn my network data off and only use wifi after just a few days of my contract allowance rolling over!!
