Sometimes your carrier might update a setting or add a carrier app.

Multiple users reported broken BlackBerry Assistant, maybe that's why it's not rolling out yet in North America

Just went back to radio 859 on both my phones ( PP and Z10 STL 100-2) and uncheck automatically updates.
I'm on the proximus network, Belgium.
Much better WiFi reception with radio 859

The voice assistant is linked to the Internet. So if you don't have a good connection is may not understand. Also it doesn't understand everything

Just simple things at the moment, but it's improving.

The input was recognized, the assistant "think" 8 sec and then comes the message.

So, I go out of my way to buy a BB10 device from shopblackberry.com and I don't get the OS update IMMEDIATELY? Is the distribution of OS updates still dependent on my carrier? If I take the SIM out will it realize it's not a Virgin Mobile device and just get the OS update?
