    Greetings.

    After in-place upgrading from 10.2.1.XXXX to 10.3.1.1016, a number of my Android apps acted like I had to set them all over again which is the first time I have experienced that being necessary. On 10.2.1.XXXX I had this app successfully installed and it ran with now issues.

    The problem I am running into is the Lync 2013 app goes through the setup process of taking the username and password just fine, and even signs on to the system, but I get stuck on the phone number prompt screen:

    I put in my phone number (tried it with several different formats) but the Continue button remains grayed out. I can't finish setting up the app until I get past this screen ,and I'm out of ideas on how to do that.

    Has anyone else who uses Lync 2103 successfully gotten past this app setup point?

    I even tried grabber an old version of the app from May and still no dice.

    Lync 2010 works successfully, have you tried that version? I haven't tried 2013 as my company doesn't support it yet.

    You cannot run the Lync 2010 mobile client against a Lync 2013 deployment the last time I checked.

    Did either of you run through the setup successfully on 1016? Or did you set up on a previous build and the settings carried forward to 1016?

    In trying older versions of the app I figured out the issue. The issue is Microsoft wants just the phone number with no special characters, even though the keyboard gives you the option of special characters.

    It's bad programming IMHO to not handle users trying to use special characters and not explicitly state that on the prompt screen.

    Using just numbers I was able to finally get in.
