I'm having an issue where on 10.2.0.429 I select and hold a link to a PDF on my University's academic resource site, and I only get the option to Copy, Select All, or Share.

On 10.1 the side menu would pop up offering the same options PLUS the ability to save link as or open link, etc. That's how I would view the PDF. Clicking the link does nothing on either OS. The link must be held to act on it in any way.

Anyone face the same issue on a website trying to open a link to a file?

If you click on it, it should download. The browser doesn't have a PDF reader built in so you'll have to download it either way.

The Browser DOES utilize Adobe Reader to give a preview of the PDF, for more functionality (Ability to skip pages, bookmarks etc), you get the option to "open in Adobe Reader"

I assumed that was a card for Adobe Reader. Either way, you have to download the pdf first.

    Hi Kevstra,

What happens when you tap the PDF link, rather than tap and hold?

Weird. I have the same o/s, and I get the usual menu on the right. What's the url? Might have something to do with the way that page is coded. Maybe try desktop mode in the browser?

Absolutely nothing. That's sort of the problem. Before the update I could only open by holding. Now I have no options! I thought if I could force it to open in new Window then I might be able to see it but it seems that it's not recognized as a link at all.

Just checking with 10.2.1, but believe it was the same in 10.1. Clicking a link for a PDF allows me to save the file to my device, then view it.
