Seems to me NO other phones purge calendar data after 30 days, does the Z10 always do this or is this just a caveat of importing data via one way sync from Outlook? The person I'm helping has 3 years of past calendar data on his 9900 he would like to show up on his Z10 (because he often refers back to when he last met with clients, etc), but this doesn't seem possible?

I wonder if this is tied to the 30-day email limit, as well...seems likely, but I couldn't say for sure - hadn't noticed on mine, which goes to show you how often I refer to things beyond a month prior.

I prefer to keep my calendar entries "forever" and that is extremely important to me... my biggest concern is that when 2-way sync finally arrives, the option to keep calendar entries forever will not exist. This is the same issue I faced when I took a gamble on the Storm several years ago and one sync destroyed my world!

I must be able to access the old data, including auto expenses and mileage for income tax purposes. And I was just being a good user, ensuring I kept my device backed-up....

Note in your outlook accounts advance setting, it has a sync period of 30 days.

What that means is that it will sync items up to 30 days ago to your device - if you had the forever option it will take forever for the account to settle down if you had lots of data.

What may happen is that a OS upgrade may end up causing a full sync, purging old data and redo it from 30 days from the upgrade. Is it actively purging appointments older than 30 days?
