    They did something similar when they offered the Android runtime on blackberry world. Should be the norm IMO.

    That's an interesting way to try and solve the update lag. IMO BlackBerry should not underestimate the negative user experience that comes with fragmentation of their OS.

    A lot of my Android friends are very frustrated that they also can't get the latest OS updates as soon as they are released. We BlackBerry owners are not alone in this frustration. There won't be a change unless we the customer force them to.
