Now i'm seeing many topics about BB10 dies and derivatives, i'm concern as well because i feel BB10 still the best Mobile OS out there but the poor sales could change everything in the next year.

If BlackBerry replace BB10 with Android on every current device what would you do?

    1) Keep your current BB10 version at the time
    2) Upgrade to Android
    3) Leave BlackBerry devices

He did use the word if.

I would keep BlackBerry10 on my Q10 and possibly upgrade my Z10 to Android.

ill stick with blackberry as long as they produce physical keyboards. i dont care about the os as long as it does what i need. if android gets the hub, the universal search and preferably the cloud enabled file manager, android will be just as capable for me

I have my Z10 with an extra battery that has not seen much use, and a Leap on the way. As much as people like to run down BlackBerry over the PlayBook it still works, and I still use it for things nothing else is able to do. I know people who are still using their Torches. I am confident I can continue to use BB10 until an alternative is available, if (and this is a big if) BlackBerry does stop development on BB10.

I will just keep using BlackBerry 10.

The truth is that BlackBerry is still producing BlackBerry 10 devices right now. If BlackBerry stopped the production of BlackBerry 10 today, they would still have to support it for at least two years, a normal length of a phone contract, from now.

So the current BlackBerry 10 users do not have anything to worry about.

I think Blackberry is making BlackBerry OS with Android core as a second choice for the end consumers. That would mean they split the business and we can choose what core to load on our devices. That would be really interesting. I don't think the current BB10 is dying. The company is now at a stage of strategic Flux and decides which way to follow.

I own two passports. Planning to move one to Android when available and see. Hope bb10 will see some progress. I need Android for some applications not working correctly with Android runtime.

I would hold out on BB10, until the last gasp, then buy an iPhone and just put up with it.

I love the concept of the Venice so I'll definetly go droid. Miss the days of 10.1 though when team BB10 had a huge number of developers the idea of a news stand etc. Truth is they have for some part been droid for a long time with or without the concept of sideloading to a runtime.

Glad the "IF" is emphasized here because we should all hopefully know by now that old Blackberry devices cannot be updated to a complete Android operating system. Anyway, to answer the question I'd ditch Blackberry devices altogether and get a Note 4 or some kind of LG phone.

once blackberry takes that leap into android, they will have no choice but to get into the hardware spec ring...if the blackberry devices running android cannot stand up in the benchmark war, it will mean nothing significant for the sales.... maybe a little bump by people who want to use blackberry hardware .

we know for a fact BBM has not been able to catch up to the other popular IMs despite its cross platform evolution and it will be the same for the hardware

i hope the company will do something awesome for once in their existence...octa-core 64-bit CPU, 4GB RAM and bada$$ graphics to knock everything in existence off the benchmark chart to get BB into people's minds again

I will continue to buy BB10 devices and if they are no longer available I will look at alternatives. BB/Android or Win10. IOS &straight up Android are last on the list.

I will probably keep using my Z30 until it dies but my daily driver will become one of the Windows 10 phones, presumably the Lumia 950. I have no desire to run Android and give Google any control over my life and data.

If BBRY won't show us any new BlackBerry 10 devices, I'd replace my Leap with an iPhone. I really don't want to do this, but I won't by any means use Android and give evil Google access to my privacy. I'd just wish that BBRY updates the Android runtime I have all the apps I need on my Leap.

I would give the latest flagship by Windows phone a shot before I went back to iPhone or iCrap ias I prefer to call it. Limited freedoms and iTunes... UGH!!!!

I am hoping that this Android variant is exactly that, a consumer phone and the maintain the BB10 for business. That would mean that we would continue to have the same app problem we now have on BB10. I could still live with that since I do love my Passport so. It is the only phone I have ever had that hasn't slowed down on me after loading everything on and having used it for a year and a half. Loosing apps to Google play services is my only grip!!! We just lost Shazam
