If it really is, they better offer us all an android Lollipop or Marshmallow update for every BlackBerry 10 phone starting from the very first Z10.

Happy ending. We can still use our existing device and it will not look like we are using an old, outdated, not supported and abandoned BlackBerry phones.

And we may be considering to keep up with BlackBerry Android phone if the experience is good enough and satisfying enough for us.

This could be a win win situation too.

I would say the main reason that I stick with BlackBerry 10 OS is because of the productivity features that it offered to me.

If they could port all those features to Android, and if I could use BlackBerry blend, swipe keyboard, paratek antenna, why not?

I have updated apps some more every week and months ...

App gap solved, OS development cost solved, developer issue solved....

Or at the end BlackBerry will have some million dissatisfied customers that don't want to spend money again for the new OS

Well, I don't think "millions" will feel dissatisfied or they want to spend money on the new OS or not as they can choose to download free apps only. Time will tell and finally all the consumers will accept and adapt to the changes.

The key here is how - if at all- BlackBerry will integrate it key BB10 features into a AndroBerry

If they don't make the messaging - hub system as it is now on BB10, it's DOA. Might as well by nexus, keyboard or not.
Swipes are also important, but not the make it or break it for me, I'd rather there be active frame if I had to choose....

As much as I think BB10 is a great OS and would 100% prefer to stick with it. If I am given the choice of a BB device that is full touch or slider that can be used as a full touch but runs android and we won't get a BB10 option yes I will make that switch. But would I update my Z10 to android if given the option? No I would not.

Bar is much better than Apk. those who have already used android, they will definitely frustrated with slider as it is not going to support android fully. The power of android is root privilege which you will never get in slider.

If it winds up being the case, I don't think they necessarily owe it to anyone to offer the update to all BB10 devices. It would be great if they did, but it will be like the Playbook situation - if the hardware is good enough to run it, they will, and if it isn't, they won't. People bought BB10 devices because they wanted BB10 - there are a LOT of Android devices on the market that they could have purchased instead. That said, I would also hope that, if it were the case, I could try it out on my Passport.

To answer the OP, I will stay with BB10 as long as I can. For those who are convinced that BB10 is dead, or stagnating, if I felt the way you do I would already be rocking a Samsung.

What if the slider runs bbos 10 and Android? Dual boot, kind of like blackberry balance for the OS? Hmm pick and choose, flip and flop, one for work and one for play?
