I will not buy an Android phone from Blackberry. I was won over by the PlayBook, and then BlackBerry 10. Never had BlackBerry before that. The OS is WHY I own a BlackBerry. If I had to choose an Android phone, it would be a Blackphone, or a Fair Phone. When my Passport is no longer useful I will look elsewhere.

I won't buy blackberry android device ever because if I want Android I can get great devices from China brands like xiaomi leeco Meizu for 25% of Priv price. In my country for example Letv 1S costs 200 euro and Priv costs 700 euros. Only reason I use BlackBerry devices is BlackBerry OS 10 cuz it's far superior than both Android and iOS

if Jolla phone becomes available in the USA, I'm considering it as my next phone whenever Passport becomes unsuitable for my needs, but Priv is still more likely at this time.

Had great time with the Passport. Now moved on to the Priv. Enjoying the device not to speak of huge access to the apps eco system.

No more BlackBerry for me when bb10 gets no more updates in 2017.

Are investors really happy with Chens performance? Source?

Considering the alternative is bankruptcy, I would say they're content with the progress.

Blackberry has all but abandoned it already. Weird part is they still have phones for sale at a premium price for an OS that is all but dead.

Since BlackBerry has written us off, come this summer/fall, I'll write BlackBerry off. Probably an S7. No windows phones,as they also suffer from a lack of apps.

I'm getting my wife an S7 next week, with all its wireless charging etc. If it does what I need it to do, I'm gonna be off as well. The silence since the facebook/whatsapp joke is deafening.

Meh. To me, steady just means that some investors are going to wing it and still on the fence of whether or not they can afford to lose their money.

or maybe BB can make "open licence" for OS10 and let people modify it. maybe there will be some technically skilled people who can still keep it updated for free for community. Like xda devs for Android and Windows phone

That's already been discussed many times. Because of the security and the fact that BB10 is still used by some government and corporate clients, they ain't "open sourcing" any of it.

Soo... with recent news, I would say your comment was just speculation.

When I meant source, I meant something with credibility, not what people think.

I am a consumer - prosumer. If blackberry is going to focus on enterprise exclusively, then I will move on. I don't see a compelling reason I for me to pay more for a BlackBerry Android device that will always be late. The security would be nice if it were real. But with Android apps there is none.

No I have used BlackBerry products since 2002 currently using the Passport I will not entertain Priv there are better phones already in that space I managed without the pkb on the Z10 i'll continue to use the Passport until it dies then consider either Sony for build quality or see what Windows phone is like
